Highland Commons Road Reconstruction
Location: Route 62, Hudson, MA
Project consisted of the reconstruction of Route 62 at the Berlin/Hudson line as required by the Mass Dept of Transportation (MDOT). These improvements were necessary to serve a large retail development along that section of road. Contract work included full depth reconstruction of the road, re-alignment with Route 495 off ramp, associated grading and drainage revisions to the project area involving over 2000 fl of 12” drainage pipe with CB’s and structures, over 5000 lf of electrical and signal conduit and approximately 2000 lf of guardrail along with the appropriate installation of erosion controls for the duration of the project.
Marois Brothers, Inc. performed all grading, erosion controls, utility installation and curbing revisions for the project. Marois Brothers, Inc. was responsible for all traffic mitigation during the length of the project and worked closely with representatives of the design engineer and with Mass DOT. We completed this project in December 2008 with a project value of $3.7 million dollars.
